1. We are a private firm, not a government body

Khata World is a private consultancy providing tax preparation, accounting and compliance services. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing any government department, including the Income Tax Department of India, the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN), or the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. We charge our own professional fees, which are separate from any government fee or statutory levy.

2. Our professional status

Khata World is not a firm of Chartered Accountants registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Chartered Accountants are engaged as part of our team, and any work that must by law be performed or certified by a Chartered Accountant is carried out or supervised by a qualified member.

Nothing on this website should be read as a claim that the firm itself holds a Certificate of Practice or is entitled to describe itself as a firm of Chartered Accountants under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. If you require a service that must be delivered by a registered CA firm, please tell us and we will say plainly whether we can accept the engagement.

3. No financial, legal or investment advice

The articles, guides and general content on this website are for information only. They are not professional financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and no client relationship is created by reading them or by submitting an enquiry form.

Tax law in India changes frequently — through the annual Finance Act, notifications, circulars and judicial decisions. Content that was accurate when written may no longer be. Always confirm your position with a qualified professional before acting.

4. No guaranteed outcome

We take care to claim every deduction and exemption you are lawfully entitled to. However:

• We cannot and do not guarantee a refund, or a refund of any particular amount. Whether a refund arises depends entirely on your own income, deductions and taxes already paid.
• We cannot guarantee that a return will not be selected for scrutiny, or that a registration will be approved, since those decisions rest with the authorities.
• Processing times on government portals are outside our control.

Any figures shown on this site as averages or past results are illustrative of previous engagements and are not a promise of a similar outcome in your case.

5. Third-party links and content

This website links to third-party sites, including government portals. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

6. Our AI assistant

The chat assistant on this site generates responses using a language model. It can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and it does not know your personal circumstances.

Do not rely on it for a filing decision, and do not enter your PAN, Aadhaar, bank details, passwords or document contents into it. It is a starting point for a conversation with a human on our team, nothing more. See the Cookie & Tracking Policy for where those messages are sent.

7. Accuracy of information you give us

Our work depends on what you tell us. We do not independently audit or verify the documents and figures you provide unless the engagement expressly includes it. You remain responsible as the assessee for the accuracy of a return filed in your name.

8. Limitation of liability

Subject to the Terms of Service and to your non-excludable rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, we are not liable for loss, penalty, interest or damages arising from reliance on general information published here, from delays caused by government portals, or from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied to us.
