5. If you are not satisfied
5.1 Data protection matters
If we do not resolve a data-protection grievance to your satisfaction, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India under Section 13(3) read with Section 27 of the DPDP Act. You must exhaust our internal mechanism first.
5.2 Consumer matters
You may approach the appropriate District, State or National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or file online through the National Consumer Helpline at consumerhelpline.gov.in or by calling 1915.
5.3 Cybercrime
If your complaint concerns fraud, impersonation of our firm, or another cyber offence, report it at cybercrime.gov.in or on 1930, and let us know at grievance@khataworld.in so we can assist.
5.4 Conduct of a Chartered Accountant
Where your grievance concerns the professional conduct of a Chartered Accountant who worked on your engagement, you may also complain to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India at icai.org. Please note Khata World is not itself a firm of Chartered Accountants — see our Disclaimer.
6. What we will not do
We will not penalise you, degrade your service, or withhold your records because you raised a grievance. Your documents remain yours and will be returned on request regardless of any dispute, subject only to records we are required by law to retain.
